The case study examines 195 CHURCH, a building in New Haven, Conn., which is undergoing a $6 million retrofit with the goal of a 29 percent reduction in energy use. The property management firm, Northside Development Co., wanted to make the building efficient and environmentally friendly, while seeing a return on their investment. The ongoing retrofit includes replacing 43-year-old windows with high-performance ones and upgrading to LED lighting.
