SUMMARY:Ground Source Heat Pump Panel
DESCRIPTION:In an effort to reduce reliance on fossil fuels\, reduce building energy consumption\, and improve resilience; a series of projects are happening at The Port of Portland under the PDX NEXT Program. \n  \nJoin us to learn about one such project – the new ground source heat pump system that should be up and running in 2025! Our panel of presenters is excited to discuss the design and rollout of the project in our upcoming meeting. \nMeet Our Panel\nJerry Marmon\, Project Manager\, Skanska\nJerry Marmon has worked for Skanska for 12 years. His project experience spans a variety of market sectors\, including a confidential high-tech manufacturing client\, the $1.7 billion Portland International Airport Terminal Core Redevelopment and the ongoing $340+ million Oregon Health and Science University OHEP Inpatient Addition. Before entering the construction industry\, Jerry served eight years in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear-trained machinist mate onboard two submarines. \nTim Elley\, Associate Principal\, PAE\nWith 15 years’ experience\, Tim has provided expertise for a variety of projects ranging from residential buildings to educational facilities to commercial mixed-use buildings. He is exceptionally skilled at performing energy analyses that help design teams and owners identify effective design solutions that increase energy efficiency while balancing project budget and occupant comfort considerations. A LEED Accredited Professional\, Tim has contributed to 15 LEED rated or registered projects\, and several aimed at Net Zero Energy\, Net Zero Water and the Living Building Challenge. \nNed Greene\, Associate Principal\, PAE\nOver the past 20 years\, Ned’s mechanical designs have created better environments for healthcare facilities\, laboratories\, and high performance buildings. He is driven to solve technically complex design challenges with elegant designs and simple building systems. Ned has contributed valuable expertise on buildings such as the OHSU Knight Cancer Research Building and iconic Portland Building. \n  \nMore Details\nItinerary:  \n\nCheck-in and registration open at 4:30PM\nPresentation from 5:00PM – 6:00PM\n\nCatering provided by Thai Peacock!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n  \n \n\n\n\n
