SUMMARY:ASHRAE Research Promotion Clay Shootout
DESCRIPTION:Teams of up to 5 will compete for best shot. Highest scoring team wins. Top 3 teams win prizes. Spend the day at Mid-Valley Sporting Clays shooting clay targets\, and get personalized instruction from top instructors. \nThis event is open to beginner shooters\, as well as experienced shooters. All are welcome! Safety training will be provided at the event. Shotguns and ammunition are provided for those who don’t bring their own. Safety glasses and ear protection are required and can be purchased on site at the event as well. Lunch is provided. \nSchedule of Events:\nDate of Event: December 1\, 2023\nTime: 10:00am – 5:00pm \n10:00 am   Sign-In\nSign-in begins at 10:00am. Donuts and coffee will be provided. \n10:30am – 12:30pm Practice / Instructors Available for Q&A\nTwo Level 1 trainers will be available for tips and pointers for those who have never shot a shotgun before\, and for those wanting a few tips. The trainers will be at the 5 stand which will be open for warming up prior to the sporting clay main event. \n11:30am – 1:00pm Lunch catered by McKillops Catering. Pulled pork sandwiches on fresh hoagie rolls\, baked beans\, cole slaw\, and garlic mashed potatoes. Non-alcoholic drinks provided as well. \n1:00pm – 4:00pm Main Event Sporting Clay Shoot\nThe “Main Event” consists of a 100 shot round of sporting clays. 15 stations\, 4 to 5 people per team will start at each station. It will be a “shotgun” start. Each team rotates around the course until all 15 stations have been completed. Estimated time to complete the tournament is about 2 – 3 hours. Multiple beverage stations will be located around the course hosted by sponsors. \n4:30pm Awards and Wrap-up   \nThe event will end by 5:00pm. \nHere’s what to Expect:\n\n10:00am sign-in\nCoffee and donuts\n10:30am – 12:30am – 5 stands open for warm up with (2) Level 1 trainers available for Q&A\n11:30am – 12:30pm Lunch\n1:00pm – 3:30pm Main Event! 15 teams\, Shotgun start\, 100 clay “birds” per shooter\nBeverage stations around the course.\n4:00pm Awards\n\nShotguns and ammunition will be provided to those who don’t have their own. \nBring your own equipment if you have it! \nSafety glasses and hearing protection are required on the range. These can be purchased on site as well. \nSponsorship Opportunities:\nEvent Sponsor \nEvent sponsors will have a banner with their company logo hanging up at the event. You’ll receive recognition for your generous support of the event and ASHRAE Research Promotion. \nCourse Beverage Station Sponsor \nBeverage sponsors will be able to set up a table and tent and hand out non-alcoholic beverages. There will be (4) beverage stations on the course. At or near stand #1\, #5\, #10\, and #15. \nLunch Sponsor \nThe lunch sponsor will receive credit for providing a delicious BBQ catered lunch by McKillops BBQ Catering. Pulled pork sandwiches on fresh hoagie rolls\, cole slaw\, baked beans\, and garlic mashed potatoes. Non alcoholic beverages provided as well. \nAward Sponsor \nThe award sponsors will receive credit for providing the cash card prizes for the top 3 teams. \nPhotography Sponsor \nThe photography sponsor will receive credit for sponsoring the photos and have their company logo on each team photo.
